TerminatorX in Government
To date, only a few councils have purchased TerminatorX. We see a potential growth in this area as messengers become more popular and as prosecutions for piracy continue.
Government and councils will gain from the security that TerminatorX delivers, resulting in:
You can't keep track of the activities of employees in your offices all of the
time.
Council employees can succumb to temptation like anybody else. They could spend hours chatting to friends in other departments or even outside the council. They might want to download the latest music or videos.
What this means is lower productivity and a string of repairs to 'faulty' computers. At worst your organization, as the owner/administrator of the system, may be prosecuted for allowing your computers to be used for pirating - with all the unwelcome publicity and expense that would accompany a legal battle.
TerminatorX runs invisibly on workstations. It looks at the
applications and web sites that are running and any that match a banned list
(see picture above) chosen by the network administrator, are
simply shut down. Their identification and removal takes place within a second of them being started.
TerminatorX was originally aimed at educational establishment and so is priced
to be easily affordable.
The licensing allows flexibility and is not dependent on the number of servers or workstations in your offices. The Site license covers an area:
Site license - an unlimited number of workstations on an unlimited number of servers within a single organisation. The workstations must be enclosed within a circle of diameter 200 metres. Each license covers one such circle. More than one license is required if your organisation wishes to use TerminatorX on workstations that are not within a single such area.
You can use TerminatorX across a whole site (200 metre diameter) for just £200
Multiple license discounts are available for 2 or more 'sites'.
