Problems uninstalling TerminatorX

Which one of the following applies to you:

• “I did not install TerminatorX - I am just getting an annoying pop-up message”

  Only the person that installed TerminatorX on your computer can remove it. You should contact them and let them know that the pop-up messages are appearing.

• “I installed TXNoGam the personal gambling blocker to block gambling web sites - I don't know my password”

  TXNoGam does not use a password system. To enable you to remove TXNoGam, there is an uninstaller called UninstallTXnogam in the folder C:\TXnogam.

  
  Running that will register a request to uninstall. You will need to wait your chosen number days (but not more than 2 extra days) and then run UninstallTXnogam again.

  The second time will complete the uninstall.

  If you have been deleting things and do not have the UninstallTXnogam program in the C:\TXnogam folder, then you can download and run the trial again and that will reinstate the contents of the C:\TXnogam folder, including the UninstallTXnogam program.

• “I know my password, but can't find any uninstaller program”

  For version 1 (installed before April 2006) uninstallation instructions please see the instructions here.

  For version 2 (installed since April 2006) please run Uninstaller2.exe in the folder (normally C:\TXhometrial2 or C:\TXsitetrial2 ) which the Setup program originally created when you ran the downloaded trial file.
   
  If you have removed the folder, you can obtain a copy of Uninstaller2.exe (zipped) from here.

• “I have tried uninstalling and got a password error - even though I am sure of my password.”

  Please proceed as though you had forgotten it and use the next section below.

• “I have forgotten my password and not made a note of it”

  For version 1 (installed before April 2006) lost password instructions please see the instructions here.

  To retrieve your version 2 (installed since April 2006) password so that you can change the TerminatorX v2 installation settings or uninstall TerminatorX v2 from a computer, you will need to:
  

  • Download RetrievePassword2a.exe and run it on the computer on which you installed TerminatorX.
     
  • Follow the instructions in the program.
     
  • We will then remind you of your secret question and ask you for the secret answer
     
  • If you give the correct answer we will send you your password. If not, we will email you saying that we cannot help.

• “I have uninstalled TerminatorX but still keep getting the messages telling me that the trial is over.”.

  If you are still getting the messages, then you have not fully uninstalled TerminatorX.
   
  Run the uninstaller again, but this time select the “completely remove TerminatorX from the computer” option. This will remove the messages.
